2 bedroom condo on the quiet island of Cayman Brac

West End apartment

2 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Cried when we left” We've been to Cayman before but never the Brac so we thought we'd check it out. Right from the moment we landed and were driven to this condo we were relaxed. Cindy was very helpful and informative, the pictures of the condo and the beach don't do it justice. It was more beautiful in person. We really did nothing for an entire week. Read, snorkeled, read, slept and walked a lot. The island itself is small and there's no night life which was fine with us. The food is expensive and hit or miss as to what you can find in the grocery stores but that's ok. We made do and were so busy just enjoying the view we really didn't eat much anyway. We'd go back in a heartbeat, we loved it that much. The location is perfect, very private. We literally were the only ones on the beach most of the time and the view. Did I mention the view? The sunsets were breathtaking. You can't go wrong if you rent from Cindy and spend some time on the Brac!!

Ixora Place

Arima b&b

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 3

“A little piece of heaven” I stayed at Ixora Place for 15 luxurious days and actually became teary eyed when it was time to leave. I went in as a guest and left as a friend. I needed time to get away for some rest, relaxation, soul searching and healing and the combination of Christ-like love, respect, pampering, hospitality and excellent service extended by Clare was beyond my expectation. I believe God knew what I needed and sent me to the right place to enjoy a little piece of heaven. I received as a bonus, therapeutic sessions in the form of laughter as Clare candidly shared funny stories and jokes while cooking or doing her paperwork. Every meal was made daily from scratch down to the dressings and fruit juices she created with fresh fruits. Being a vegetarian, I watched Clare create all sorts of delicious dishes to satisfy my palate. I will not share some of the special amenities I received and enjoyed through Clare's and Gerry's kindness because I want to feel that they were done just for me, why, because I am special:-). I do believe that they treat and accommodate each guest in a unique way according to their needs and therefore in order to experience your special act of kindness, you must book a few nights at Ixora Place whenever you are looking for a comfortable and hospitable place to stay at a very reasonable rate. The location is great as well, close to the Piarco airport and arima marketplace. Clare and Gerry will get you anywhere you plan on going by providing transportation (low cost), giving easy-to-follow directions and ideas of places to visit during your stay. Oh, by the way, I had the opportunity to catch a few glimpses of the way Clare and Gerry manage Ixora Place as they "tag-teamed" to get things done which to me as an onlooker exuded a special warmth that will make anyone feel at home. See below for a few pictures I took as mementos.

Beachfront gated Condo directly on Simpson Bay

Simpson Bay apartment

2 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 5

“Right on the beach. Best location on Simpson Beach” On our 7th trip to St. Maarten, my husband and I decided to break free from the typical hotel experience, we booked a week at this condo on Simpson Bay Beach... and I'm so glad we did! The condo itself is well appointed, with everything you could possibly need. Washer/Dryer, wi-fi, cable, grill on the patio, dishwasher (who wants to do dishes on vacation, right?), even a speaker system for our iPod... so we were well taken care of from a practical perspective. But let me tell you, the condo itself is just beautiful... completely modern, beautifully decorated, with an open concept with 3 patios to choose from... two overlooking the oceanfront pool. Most days we would open all of the doors and just let the tropical air breeze through the condo... sit back and listen to the waves with a glass of wine... and it's just heavenly. The location is just awesome... close to everything, but located on (in my opinion) the most beautiful beach on the island... great for exploring... great waves... and really pretty quiet thanks to the private residences along the beach. If you're looking for people, head down the beach to Karakters, a great beach bar built in a renovated school bus right on the south end of the beach... great food and lots of fun. We tried quite a few of the restaurants Bob & Sue recommended and they were all really cool. What we liked best was that they recommended places that were casual and fun! We probably wouldn't have found some of them on our own, so we appreciated that personal touch. Bob was great throughout our booking process and even helped us secure our rental car through angela on the island. They're nice folks and really went out of their way to make sure my husband and I had a good experience. We plan to come back and stay again, as soon as we can!

Garden Cottage with wi-fi internet

Charlestown cottage

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2

“Quiet location, wonderful hospitality.” Two very attractive intimate, but sufficiently roomy, well-equipped cottages on-site. The hosts provided excellent advice and support prior to arrival and were very hospitable and supportive on-site but not 'in-your-face'. (Hosts are also excellent chefs!). There are many country walks close-by. The only downside, although this may be an upside, is that the cottages are located up a steep hill on a poorly maintained road and quite a way from downtown, the beaches or a resort area. A rental car is essential. I enjoyed a wonderful quiet week at Innisfree Cottages.

CASA GARDEN Las Terrenas Village

Las Terrenas house

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Comfortable, Close to Beach” This is a lovely unit just off the beach in residence surrounded by similar units, and accessed via gate. The unit doesn't have air conditioning (fans in every room, including porch) but that was the only set back. It is close to town and very close to the beach. The afternoon evening front desk guy was very helpful. The place was clean and roomy, having your own kitchen on vacation is so nice! And, the front porch is a definite plus, we spent most of our evening out front sipping on presidente. A great find!

Dover Beach quiet home, near the Gap

Dover house

3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“loved it so much we stayed another week!” Seagrass was a wonderful place to stay and enjoy what Barbados has to offer. It was comfortable, clean, equipped with everything we needed to cook - however the restaurants and take aways were at times too enticing. The location was perfect with a couple of minutes walk to Dover beach, a 15 minute drive to the airport, short walk to the infamous Gap with it's vendors, restaurants, and bars. The neighbouring beaches each had something to offer - at the end of the street the beach was a nesting ground for Hawksbill turtles which were in their hatching period while we were there. At night we would go to the beach and help the baby turtles find their way to safety under the incredible experience. a minute from this beach is Dover - a beautiful stretch of clean soft sand that was perfect for swimming, sunbathing, sunsets and sipping Banks:)

Villa Beachcliff, "The Perfect Island Sanctuary"

Lance aux Epines villa

5 bedrooms / 6 bathrooms / sleeps 11

“Villa Beach Cliff - an out of this world experience” We had visited with Rick and Karen a year prior to our rental. We knew then what a perfect place it would be for our group consisting of four couples. To be able to provide each couple with their own en suite accommodation in a house that offered so many great places to hang out is perfect. We have grown to love Grenada as a destination and Villa Beach is a great location on the island. As owners you won't find more caring people. The house was in great working order and they were available by phone at any point we needed them. We will return.

Luxury studio Sea View in Orient Bay

Orient Bay apartment

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Great Time” We stayed two weeks in one of amaury's studios and had an excellent time. We enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the balcony. The view of Orient Beach is fantastic. We set up chairs at the pool each day and swam in it and the ocean each day. The walks up and down from the parking lots and pool to the studio kept us in shape but are not for the sedentary. Its just a short drive to the market, Orient Village and Grand Case restaurants. We will be back!

Dive into paradise oceanfront -Marazul-7B-Curacao

Sabana Westpunt apartment

1 bedroom / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Tropical paradise!” Curacao is the perfect island to have a memorable vacation. We stayed at 3 places when have visited the island: Lagun, Westpunt at Marazul 7B, and Willemstad. Must say, we liked the Marazul Dive Resort the most! Everything in the apartment was neat & clean, we had everything we needed (especially loved the big fridge&freezer;, the comfortable and clean bed with nice sheets - unlike at some other places, clean bathrooms and comfortable couch downstairs). We felt really like home. Didn't use the television at all. The apartment has a good internet connection, we could even Skype home and show our families a little of Curacao. We had bbq several nights, and watched the sun set each day. It was perfect. The managers were kind and helpful. I felt safe at Marazul, the night was very quiet, we could rest, and that is important when on holiday. As we are from Europe, and in Curacao it is earlier with 6 hours, we fell asleep around 8 p.m and got up in the morning before the sunrise. So we went to the beaches very early, we always arrived 1st or 2nd. This is something you should do to have the beach for yourself for a few hours and to take a look at the underwater world in the morning. That is when the sun illuminates the sea and we could take the most beautiful pictures of the blue blue sea. All in all, everything was perfect at Marazul 7B. I fell in love with Curacao, and when (because I am sure we will return some day) we will come back, we would definitely stay here. Also, this side of the island is the most beautiful, with the national park, iguanas, lizards, lovely birds, and of course the most beautiful beaches on the whole island, and not to forget the crabs in the white sand. It is not that touristy, but maybe that is why it remained so gorgeous. Thank you Cindy for everything!

“Perfect villa for a large family” This was the perfect villa for my family (6 adults, 3 children). It had everything we needed for our weeklong stay, and we couldn't have asked for a better location. It was just far enough out of town for a quite, peaceful getaway, but close enough to drive in for everything we wanted to do. The owner was fantastic to deal with and provided us with various ideas of things to do.

Calamansi, private pool, 3 bedrooms/bathrooms, views, WiFi, AC, great reviews!

Charlestown villa

3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Wastin' Away again in Nevis” The first thing that I would like to say about Villa Calamansi is the that the pre trip correspondence with the owner Sue was absolutely top notch and ultra professional. We are a group of five adult friends who have been travelling throughout the islands over the last 14 years and staying in rentals. This year's choice of Villa Calamansi (we spent one week on St Maartens just before ) on Nevis was the best. Every detail about the villa is as exactly as advertised on this website. The value of the rental is also superb. We found the villa, island, and its people to be much more than we had expected. Being first timers to Nevis and not knowing what to expect, we were truly surprised by the "old Caribbean" feel. We rented a car which I believe is a must to be able to get out and explore the many beaches, plantations, and other sites. We ate breakfast at the villa with several pots of coffee each morning while sitting around the pool deck reading and chilling. We had late lunches at Lime or other beach bars after snorkeling or just bobbing in the waves and exploring. Back to Calamansi for cocktails on the porch. We played a round of golf on a golf course that is a ten minute walk up the road. Unique experience and too much fun to fully explain here. A must do while on Nevis. Great beach south of the Four Seasons and excellent snorkeling around the break waters. In I have to give an overall grade to this year's island experience I would give it a 11/10. We plan on going back but still have a few more islands to try first. Nevis and Villa Calamansi are true gems. Even better with owner Sue at the helm.

“Lovely rustic getaway” Seascape is a wonderful getaway for those who want to experience life in a small village in Tobago. We had a couple of days of rain but what better place to weather Mother Nature than hanging out in Seascape. There are other tourists there to be sure, and Heavenly Bay is both a working fishing bay and a place where other tourists are. It can get noisy (I recommend ear plugs if you're a light sleeper like me), but the villa gives you the great advantage of being high above it all with the most amazing view. Rollins was excellent and a good recommendation to have him pick us up and take us back to the airport. We actually didn't end up driving at all because we hired a local guide, Roachee, for 3 days who took us snorkeling, fishing, and in the rain forest. We some issues with ants, but as long as you put everything in the fridge and freeze your leftovers, it wasn't a problem. So all in all, a great honeymoon for us. I can see that the villa wouldn't be for everyone - if you're looking for a resort with lots of glitz and polish, that wouldn't be the place. For us, we were looking for rustic, a quiet village, little tourism, some island life, and so it was perfect!

“A true get-a-way!” From the moment we landed, to the moment we left, George took care of every detail! If you are looking for a true get-a-way - this is the place. A busy day at the beach might include seeing 1 or 2 other people, otherwise you have every beach to your self! There is plenty to enjoy on the beach in from of Wymmsicalwish or take a drive, there are secluded beaches down every dirt road, each with their own unique personality. This was our second (of many more to come)visit to Whymmsical Wish. We have stayed there with our grown children and it has been throughly enjoyed by all.The guest house comfortably slept all 6 adults and we enjoyed breakfast every morning in the screened it porch. The fully equiped kitchen allowed us to make lunches and snacks to enjoy at the beach. We all were greatful for the wireless access to make sure that things were running well back at the office!

“Perfect Getaway!!” The Cabin was perfect and equipped with everything my husband and I needed!! George was the perfect host, helping us arrange a rental car, fishing guide and great local sights, including an absolutely beautiful secluded beach that we had to ourselves for the day. We enjoyed taking the kayaks out to explore. He was there to answer any questions and meet our needs but we also had plenty of privacy. We plan to return (with our kids) this winter and stay in the larger house. Even though we were able to find most of the items we needed, We will send food ahead next time because it is so expensive on the island and the choice of meats is so limited.

“Wonderful Honeymoon” My husband and I just returned from a 10-day stay in St. Kitts. The condo was perfect for us with so much room. Everyone at Silver Reef was helpful and friendly. The condos sit in walking distance (10-15 minute walk to the Marriott on the atlantic and a little less to the fun Caribbean side) to the atlantic and to the Caribbean Sea. We will return for another special vacation in the future. The condo was nicely equiped with washer and dry within the unit which is such a nice amenity. This is a place to relax and enjoy peaceful days without the hectic pace of our lives in the States. Our next trip we will rent a car to explore the island, but taxi cabs are available at all hours.

“The most relaxing spot. Ever.” Par's Place is one of the most relaxing places you could go for your vacation. If you really want to get away and be right on the beach, this is your place. There is a Supermarket right across the street with a pharmacy in it. You can also buy your rum there. The owner of the place is really great and will help you out in any way you need. The place is minutes from Hole-town if you feel like going out. But what I really like was the place felt off the beaten path but close to it.I would recommend this place to families all the way to couples looking for a great getaway.

“Very nice stay” We stayed at the cottage for 10 nights and it was exactly what we were looking for: quiet, comfortable beds, and many great night's of sleep. Not to mention the kayaking in front of the house was loads of fun too. The host, Valerie, is very accommodating and a fountain of information. Cima Del Mundo-Del Mar Suite. New Pool, Fab Views!

Isla de Vieques apartment

3 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6

“A Wonderful Place to Stay with Helpful and Appreciative Owners.” Cima was our first VRBO stay and it could not have been more pleasant. From the initial conversation to the follow up after the visit, the communication with Deborah was prompt, informative and friendly. Anything we wanted to know about Vieques was quickly answered with a thorough explanation and recommendations, before we even left. There is only so much you can learn through websites. To be able to speak with somebody who lives there is quite another thing. One of the first recommendations Deborah made to us is to fly to the island rather than take the ferry. The plane ride was simply perfect, a short ten minute trip with picturesque views of the island. When we arrived at the Island, Deborah's husband, Dennis, picked us up in his Jeep and gave us a nice tour of the island's landmarks. Then we drove up to the house and we were blown away. First off, the house is situated on a hilltop, which gives it incredible views towards the west, which means the sun sets right in front of you, into the blue Caribbean water. Deborah was waiting for us upon our arrival and gave us an immediate tour of the property. The wonderful thing about this property is that the structure of it gives all three units the ability to enjoy the views without even realizing you are all there together. It felt like the whole place was ours. When Deborah opened the door, we realized what people meant when they said the pictures don't do it justice. For some reason, the camera just doesn't pick up the property well enough. The place is immaculate. Everything looked brand new. The decoration was modern and comfortable and the layout was designed intuitively. The kitchen had everything we needed with plenty of room to store the things we bought. The bathroom was pristine and organized and the bedrooms were spacious and accommodating. The bed in the room closest to the patio was the one we used and it was very comfortable. But of course, the best thing about this place is the patio, which overlooks the island and the Caribbean in the background. We ate all our meals out there because it was just something you don't get to experience that often. The view from the pool is just as great. We would hang out there with Tucker, their dog, and just relax after long days of running around. Also, they have a nice grill right outside the door which we used several times after buying fresh food from town. This could not have been a better experience and we highly recommend it.

Lime House Cottage

Spring Bay cottage

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Wonderful place to vist and return” I am writing this review about Limehouse, in the Spring area of the beautiful island of Bequia. Bequia is one of the Grenadines, in the country of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. I have been traveling to Bequia with my family for more than 20 years, having visited over 15 times during these years. We love the island, for it is truly a paradise that has not been spoiled by overzealous developers or franchise businesses. It is truly a 'real' and homey place, with people who are friendly and open to visitors. We are particularly enamored with Limehouse, and have stayed there with our two children the last eight or more times we have been on the island. The accommodations are simply wonderful. Limehouse is on a ridge above the ocean where the views are spectacular! The cottage and studio are both extremely attractive, very clean, and are beside one of the prettiest pools and barbeque areas you will find anywhere. We typically stay in the Cottage, a two bedroom, two bath house with just the right amount of space, a beautiful porch area, and fantastic landscaping. The owners, Josephine and allan Gabriel, have become wonderful friends to this family, and our children, now 15 and 21 years of age, truly look forward to visiting because of their love and respect for the Gabriels. Our daughter is certain that she will get married on Bequia and stay at Limehouse (needs to meet a guy first!), and my wife and I plan to visit every winter for a month as soon as we can slow down from dual careers. My only concern in writing a truthful review of Limehouse is that it might mean we have a harder time booking, but that is a chance I am willing to take in order to accurately communicate the wonders of this place.

“Hidden Gem!” We landed in SJU and drove straight to the villa with our rental car. Took us 40min to get there. It was very easy to find the resort but little tricky to find the actual villa inside the resort. On the bright side, you are in a world class resort without the resort fee. Additionally, it comes with kitchen and free parking! The kitchen came with utensil, pots, rice cooker etc. So, you can save a lot of money by cooking. This is a 5 star place for the $ you pay. The owner was very helpful with our plans. She recommended places to go snorkeling and we had an amazing experience. In summary, great view, great atmosphere, fantastic location and comfortable beds. This place have everything you need to have a relaxing getaway.

About Caribbean

The turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea are dotted with hundreds of friendly and picturesque islands. A glorious landscape of white sand and tropical scenery, the Caribbean islands may be the world's most perfect piece of paradise. From sunbathing on the beach to dining under the stars, the Caribbean is an ideal spot for a romantic getaway, a relaxing winter retreat, or a fun vacation with the whole family.

If you love water sports, the Caribbean islands are perfect for scuba diving, snorkeling, boating, kayaking, sailing, and swimming, boasting crystal clear water and year-round sunny weather. When it comes to relaxing, the Caribbean knows no equal, with a slew of day spas, secluded beaches, and romantic restaurants. Golfers will find plenty of scenic courses, while kids can enjoy swimming in reef-sheltered beaches. The whole family can find something they love to eat in the Caribbean's many American, French, Italian, or Brazilian restaurants, taking in a meal while listening to the sweet sounds of calypso.

While almost every island in the Caribbean boasts excellent beaches, warm water, and incredible marine life, they are different in flavor and geography. Thanks to the unique mix of people, the Caribbean is home to diverse cultures and cuisines. Forged by volcanoes, some islands are covered with rough peaks and mountain ranges while other islands are flat and non-volcanic, with smooth long shores. While some islands are secluded and romantic, others offer a lively collection of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.

Some of the Caribbean's most famous destinations include:

  • The Bahamas: The ultimate beach destination, the Bahamas is comprised of 700 small and beautiful islands, each boasting pristine beaches and turquoise water.
  • U.S. Virgin Islands: The three islands of St. John, St. Thomas, and St. Croix are easily accessible from the United States and offer some of the nicest shoreline in the Caribbean.
  • Martinique: Martinique is a cosmopolitan French-speaking island with white sand beaches, great restaurants, and an active volcano.
  • Cayman Islands: Three gorgeous islands in the Caribbean Sea, the Cayman Islands are surrounded by coral reefs and infected with lively island culture.
  • Jamaica: Jamaica is known for its reggae music and laid-back culture, as well as its wonderful beach communities and sparkling ocean water.
  • Puerto Rico: A colony of the United States, Puerto Rico is an easily accessible and interesting Caribbean island.
  • Barbados: One of the most popular islands in the Caribbean, Barbados is poised between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, boasting amazing beaches, and a friendly culture.

A vacation rental is a perfect way to soak up the Caribbean. If you are heading to the Caribbean for a destination wedding, a luxury villa or beach house will make a perfect home for the whole family. For fun in the sun, look for an oceanfront condo or spacious apartment with a view of the sea.

It is a great place to stay!!.

Pretty, comfortable, cozy-has all the needed amenities. The decor is inspiring. Close to all the action in Cruz Bay just steps away. Very cost effective for what is provided. although we have traveled to St John and St Thomas many many times, my husband has decided this is an ideal location to land for a very enjoyable trip.see more
Our Place in St Thomas, Studio Cottage
Great location.!!

Overlooking Secret Harbor the ocean is hop and skip away and all the restaurants and "happenings" in Red Hook are mere few minutes away. Ideal for a couple on the go. We had stayed here before in another unit and found the owners quite caring and considerate. Since we vacation often in St Thomas, we love this location.see more
TreeTops Villa - Red Hook, Gated, Pool, Spectacular View Perfect 2-4 guests!!
Great relaxing vacation

This was a terrific 2 bedroom house, centrally located in the middle of Red Hook within walking distance to the ferry, multiple restaurants and grocery store. The property offered everything necessary and the wrap around terrace provided great views as well as a constant breeze with all doors/windows open. Owners provided fully stocked kitchen including basic necessities e.g. water, condiments, minor grocery supplies. Easy in/out privileges through automated gate. Really could not ask for anything else! Would definitely select again if I'm back in St. Thomas.see more
VILLA AMOUR ,Romantic , Art Lovers Paradise ,

The pluses…….One of the most beautiful destinations I have ever been to! The view overlooking the pool and the side of the mountain, down to the Ocean, takes your breath away. This is the largest “Open Concept” home I have ever seen. We only closed the sliding doors that extended the entire front of the home, when we were gone or at night. The living room and TV’s we never used (we were there a week). The rough edge granite dining room table was gorgeous! Most of the time we were at the patio table on the covered porch, playing games. The pool was beautiful, we were in it every day, Plenty of pool toys and lounge chairs. The owners are very conscientious of having a clean house and grounds. The kitchen was well stocked with most things you might need to cook. It was wonderful to have four bedrooms, two up and two down, each having their own full bathrooms. The minuses…….The roads are rough!! Going to the “Villa Amour” is down hill, single lane, on the side of a mountain. Any time you leave the Villa you are taking this road. (Don’t forget you are driving on the left side of the road). The kitchen needs an update, many of the dishes and cups have chips. The pans are black. Most important the oven doesn’t shut tight. The Bedrooms need to be updated. My bathroom towels had a large bleach mark on it. The supplies in the bathroom were great, shampoo, cream rinse, hair dryers and even nail polish remover! The curtains didn’t close well, the two recliners in the Master were very outdated. They just need some Updating. Overall……..The most beautiful SUNRISES on the Island! I miss taking my coffee and sitting poolside watching the sun come up. Would I return?? Probably not, the road in and out is quite a challenge, even with a Jeep! (I’m also over 70]see more
Spectacular views from updated oceanfront condo
Spectacular views

Beautiful views, and Luquillo Beach is the best beach in Puerto Rico. Very nice, three bedroom condo with local art on the walls of turtles and geckos. My grandson loved the pool and especially the ocean. We also went on a snorkeling tour and visited the rainforest. My ten year old grandson likes to snorkel and so do the adults.see more
