“Excellent!” Wonderful place to stay! We love 'our' suite. It is clean and inviting. There is always something to do in the area (go for a ride around the lake, play on the beach, go to the drive-in!) and some great restaurants that are very close. Dyan is great, always available if needed but not hovering. I will definitely stay again!
“Peaceful” Be aware that you are expected to wash all sheets and towels before check-out on the morning of your departure. There is not a cleaning service for this home.
The house was very nice but not up to my cleaning standards.
“Wonderful weekend stay!” We had a weekend family get-together with a group from ages 2 to 65. Michael met us on arrival and gave us a grand tour of the lodge from beds to sleds. His love of the lodge was obvious as he shared its history. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for all of us - with room to spare. The large, well-stocked kitchen allowed all of us to share in the cooking and cleaning chores. The dining room was huge. The living room had plenty of space for all of us to congregate around the fireplace or to go to a corner for a game challenge or a quiet space. Lots to do inside (games, books, sound system, karaoke) and even a play area with table, chairs, books and toys for the young ones. Outside - to die for! A hill outside the door that was fun for all ages of sledders - and floodlights for night sledding. We had a great snowshoe hike on the trails (snow was not good for XC skiing that weekend). It was a wonderful time for all. Many thanks, Michael!

Awesome time, quiet-relaxing, yet full of activities too!
Our group was 4 adults, one teenager and two school aged kids. Family mixed with friends. We had a wonderful time canoeing, swimming, playing in the sand, took short bike rides, used the row boat, fishing off the dock and boat. We also enjoyed paddle boarding (we brought). We hiked a local trail - Red Hill. Went to Squam Lake animal center. Fun Spot arcade. Took a ride on the lake cruise at Weirs Beach. We lucked out with only one really raining day where we went antiquing on Moultonborough Neck Rd. Cooked on the grill and ate in the screened porch. Some of us enjoyed late nights by the fire, play cards or turning in early; relaxing and just enjoying the peacefulness. The house was clean. It is older; a bit rustic/cabin feel but isn't that what a lake house is suppose to be? …
