Wyndham Kingsgate Resort (3 bedroom 3 bath condo)

Williamsburg condo

3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 10

“Thanksgiving weekend with family!” We stayed @ the Wyndham Kingsgate resort in Williamsburg Va. Food, fun and family is all I can say! The accommodations were great. My grandchildren loved the indoor pool and video gaming arcade. The least attractive of the stay was having to climb three flights of stairs with luggage and groceries. That was a surprise! However the staff was just a phone call away. They were available to help with a smile! We had a great time!

Romantic River Front Cabins

Luray log cabin

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6

“Perfect Getaway” We absolutely loved this cabin and use it as the standard against which to judge all other rentals we consider. The cabin was spotless and quaint. We loved stargazing, exploring the creek behind the cabin, attempting to canoe, and cooking chicken in the fire ring. There is a charcoal girll available but we stayed so busy we didn't get a chance to use it. The electric fireplace in the bedroom kept us warm all night and our cat absolutely loved the cute loft. I absolutely recommend anyone considering staying in a cabin in Luray to come here. The grounds were so quiet and it was a quick drive to the Virginia Museum of the Civil War in New Market as well as the beautifully scenic drive in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We came here for our anniversary trip and we had the best time. Even 2 years onward we can't stop raving about it. We made the best memories here and would love to come again if we were ever in Virginia. This cabin is absolute perfection.

"Its Five O'Clock Here", Hot Tub, waterfront and BRPW cabin

Fancy Gap log cabin

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Outstanding beautiful place to stay.” We were so satisfied with the 5 o'clock here cabin. It was exceptionally clean and neat. There were more than adequate appliances, cookware, gas log fireplace, comfortable beds and even plenty of food and coffee in the cupboard and even doggie treats for our pomeranian. They even provided fishing gear for the stocked pond. This was the best place we have stayed for the money by far. Jodee and Hewes were always available to answer our questions and were great hosts. We plan on booking again soon and taking our friends and family members with us and hopefully rent both cabins at the same time.

Luray log cabin

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6

“Above the rivers edge” Cabin was nice and clean. There was already firewood available on the property which was convenient. Verizon phone service didn't work too well but AT&T service worked fine. We weren't able to get the gas fireplace to work. The hot tub didn't get very hot. It was warm but I needed to be serviced or repaired. The river being right in the backyard was nice. Regardless we enjoyed our stay.

Shade Tree Cottage, a southern gem!

Gordonsville cottage

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6

“Wonderful farm cottage retreat, enjoyed every minute, comfortable and relaxing” My wife and I and our greyhound Spyder enjoyed our stay at Shade Tree Cottage in Gordonsville. We went to a family reunion in Charlottesville and wanted some space. Wow beautiful cottage very comfortable and the owners Midge and Tom were so helpful and gave us lots of info on things to do and places to eat. Went touring at local wineries and with Charlottesville 30 minutes from away we had lots to keep us busy. The farm was the perfect retreat. They had well stocked kitchen and fresh eggs from the farm which made a great breakfast. We hope to go back and stay there next year. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality. Andy and Rita

SNUG HARBOR WATERFRONT COTTAGE with a stunning view of lighthouse and ponies!

Chincoteague Island cottage

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6

“Fantastic!” This was our first time to visit Chincoteague and it was awesome! Snug Harbor was exactly as described including the beautiful views. The location was great because you were close to downtown and getting to the beach was easy. I had envisioned renting kayaks but my husband didn't really want to so we went on a boat tour with Captain John. Such a good call, we got to see so much and the Captain was so interesting you could tell how much he loved the area. If I was going to nitpick, I wish there had been a hook in the bathroom to hang our towels but it was easy to make due. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

About Virginia

Virginia is one of those rare places where past meets present and north meets south in a blossoming fury of contradictions and beauty. Seeped in history, Virginia is packed with reminders of America's past like Thomas Jefferson's regal home at Monticello and the Shirley Plantation.

The Virginia of today is a lovely, Southern belle with a warm climate year round, delicious southern cooking and unparalleled hospitality. With so many beautiful cities such as Richmond and numerous towns along the Atlantic shores, it is no wonder Virginia is for lovers.

Some of the places you will fall in love with include:

  • Williamsburg: This town is a historian's treasure. With war reenactments, museums and gardens, it gives you a glimpse of a time when the U.S. was gaining its independence.
  • Richmond: As the state capital and one of the oldest cities in the U.S., Richmond offers a variety of attractions. From the historic downtown to Belle Island in the James River, the city has a buzzing nightlife and plenty of culture for all to enjoy.
  • Arlington: Visiting this city is a must when headed to Virginia. It contains some of the U.S.'s most important monuments including Arlington National Cemetery, the Pentagon and the Iwo Jima Marine Corps War Memorial. The city also offers plenty of dining, cultural, entertainment and shopping opportunities.
  • Alexandria: This quaint town is a great place to check out historical sites, enjoy recreational activities and indulge in excellent dining and shopping options. Alexandria is also home to the Torpedo Factory Art Center, a popular waterfront attraction.
  • Roanoke: Known as the "Star of the South," this charming city showcases scenic surroundings and views from Mill Mountain, where a neon star overlooking the landscape has been lit since 1949. Roanoke is also known for its cultural offerings and assorted outdoor recreational activities.
  • Virginia Beach: This town features a beachside boardwalk that beckons children to run around and enjoy the different sights and sounds. Adults can kick back too while indulging in some freshly caught seafood. If you head to Virginia Beach in September, be sure to check out the Neptune Festival. During this time, the North American Sand Sculpting Championship is determined and travelers can see the short-lived beauties carved from the sand.

Virginia is a very diverse state, so there is always something interesting for travelers to enjoy. To experience the great outdoors, camping in Virginia is the way to go. There are plenty of parks in Virginia to choose from, and Virginia national parks are some of the country's most celebrated. The beauty of these surroundings and all that the state has to offer definitely helps inspire romantic getaways in Virginia, which have been a big commercial success for the state.

Since waterfront areas are immensely popular, a beach vacation rental is always in high demand because a beach rental offers exquisite views that just cannot be beat. A beach condo in particular is a good choice for those who want modern amenities right by the seashore. For visitors who desire something more rustic, a cabin near the woods is a popular pick. No matter where you lay your head, the memories you will make in Virginia will be something you will not soon forget.

Amazing!!!!

First off let me just say Sea La Vie is the perfect vacation home. The beach is literally in the backyard! The home was exceptionally clean and has everything you need from beach chairs to washer and dryer. Elena was the perfect host and really made sure things were perfect for our stay. Felt like Home

I traveled with my mother, aunts, and cousins so it was 12 of us in all for a weekend Williamsburg shopping trip. The condominiums were phenomenal and my family loved the set up. It was enough room to accommodate all of us. It had all the amenities you may need (pans, silverware, extra bedding, towels, wash clothes, broom, vacuum, glassware, dish washing liquid, and more. It made you feel like you were at home. The staff was friendly and pleasant. Definitely would recommend to family and friends planning a trip to Williamsburg.see more
